Fly straight to the Canton Valais from London Heathrow!

Swiss International Airlines have announced the introduction of a new route between London Heathrow and Sion Airport. The closest airport to Chalet Altitude 1600 in Haute Nendaz.

The flight route will run each Saturday throughout February 2017. This is great news for British skiers heading to the Four Valleys (Las 4 Vallées) region of Switzerland; the largest skiing destination in Switzerland, home to the resorts of Nendaz, Verbier, Thyon, Veysonnaz, Brusson and La Tzoumaz.

The new route between London Heathrow and Sion Airport will be trialled this season and if popular enough it will integrated as a standard route during ski season. We highly recommend the route for skiers travelling from London and surrounding areas, as Sion Airport is just a 30 minute journey to Nendaz and our Chalet Altitude 1600.

February is an excellent month to visit Nendaz, the ski season is in full swing, the snow conditions perfect and there is a full agenda of activities, including: Heliski, snowshoe hikes, curling lessons, a giant slalom event, an ice disco, tours with sled dogs, avalanche training, wine tasting and much more!

When you reserve your holiday at our chalet we can book activities for you to enjoy during your stay. View a full agenda of activities in Nendaz on the local tourism website.

Swiss Air have also upgraded their routes from the UK to Switzerland for 2017. You can now also fly into Geneva five times weekly between 17th December 2016 and 25th March 2017. With the airport of Geneva just under a two hour drive to our chalet in Haute Nendaz.

Swiss also run a baggage transport service, so you don’t have to worry about transporting heavy ski equipment from the airport to chalet. Their Fly Rail Baggage service sends your baggage all the way from your departure airport, over to the nearest train or bus station at the resort where you are staying.

When you book your holiday at Chalet Altitude 1600 ask us for details of the nearest station to deliver your baggage.
